Indiana's Thoroughbred industry may not be as well-known as the industry down in Kentucky, but that doesn't mean the Hoosier state's tracks, farms, horses, and people don't deserve the same appreciation and recognition. Treasure of the Midwest is a multi-media project designed to shine a spotlight on everything that makes Indiana's Thoroughbred industry special, lucrative, and unique.
The main portion of the project is a video series showcasing Indiana's farms, track, and horsemen and is set to release on Champions of the Track's YouTube Channel in the Summer of 2021. This series will consist of one YouTube video or "episode" released per week - the first video release date is TBA.
In addition to the video series, Champions of the Track has been releasing Indiana racing content on their social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter) with the hashtag #TreasureoftheMidwest. Those who enjoy written stories can also find the tales of some of Indiana's best horses (and more) on their website, champsofthetrack.com, under the Treasure of the Midwest category. The goal of Treasure of the Midwest is to educate horse racing fans and Hoosier residents on the importance of Indiana's Thoroughbred industry. The project also aims to bring new breeders, owners, and horsemen to the state to participate in Indiana's lucrative breeding and racing programs.
The project was created in partnership by Champions of the Track, the Indiana Thoroughbred Alliance, the Indiana Horsemen's Benevolent and Protection Association, and Indiana Grand Racing & Casino .
We wanted to take a moment to thank you all for your support of this project thus far. Filming is going very well and the episodes for the video series are coming along nicely! We are so excited to release them this Summer. Meanwhile, we hope you are all enjoying the photos and written stories that we have released so far. Enjoy this cute promo and stay tuned for more as we get closer to launch!
