Hot Crazy Matrix has a face you won’t forget — and a famous brother you’ll recognize too!

This flashy filly is a half-sister to the exceptional racehorse Accelerate (Lookin At Lucky), a five-time Grade 1 winner best known for his dominant 2018 season. He won four Grade 1 races in a row that year, capped by a victory in the Breeders’ Cup Classic — a performance that earned him the Eclipse Award for Champion Older Dirt Male. Accelerate retired with more than $6.69 million in earnings and had finished in the top three in 21 of his 23 starts.

Accelerate stood stud at Lane's End Farm until 2023, when he relocated to the Kentucky Horse Park's Hall of Champions.

Both Accelerate and Hot Crazy Matrix are out of Issues, a stakes-placed daughter of Awesome Again. Issues has also produced Daddy D T (Scat Daddy), a stakes winner who finished third in the 2014 Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf (G1), and Amarish (Scat Daddy), a stakes winner and runner-up in the 2013 Jersey Shore Stakes (G3).

Hot Crazy Matrix is just getting started. The two-year-old daughter of Tapit has made two starts for trainer Steve Asmussen, breaking her maiden in her second try with a one-length win at Horseshoe Indianapolis in early July. She was bred in Kentucky by Mike Abraham and Tapit Syndicate; Abraham retained a share of ownership after L & N Racing LLC and Robert Zoellner purchased her from Gainesway’s consignment at the 2024 Keeneland September Yearling Sale.

With that pedigree, this beautiful filly is definitely one to watch!
